Urban Innovative Actions and mainstream ERDF – External Assessor of Funding Applications
External assessment of funding applications
In May 2016 Alison was a member of the External Assessor Panel (Jobs and Skills) for the first call for Urban Innovative Actions applications. In less than 3 weeks Alison read and provided a detailed technical assessment of more than 40 application forms. She also participated in the EU level meeting to review projects which would be recommended for approval.
Previously Aurora undertook the external assessments of applications submitted to rounds 2, 3 and 4 the ERDF programme in the South East Region. Assessments provided thorough and robust justification of each score provided as well as clear conditions for contract negotiation. Alison attended the PSC providing clarification on assessments to panel members as required.
“It was a pleasure to work with Alison on the strategic assessment of the proposals submitted under the first Urban Innovative Actions Call for Proposals. As part of a group of experts, Alison delivered a sound and fair judgment for the assessment of those proposals submitted under the topic of jobs and skills in the local economy. Her attention to detail and knowledge allowed the Initiative to select the most innovative projects in Europe”
