Interreg IVA Channel Programme (GreenFit)
project and partnership development and bid writing
Aurora supported Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to develop the GreenFit project which aimed to develop and test sustainable approaches for the regeneration and management of business parks in the cross border area. We helped to establish a relevant partnership of stakeholders from the South East of England and Northern France, facilitated the initial partnership meetings – both virtual and face to face – and wrote the bid for funding.
The project aimed to improve the energy efficiency of existing business parks and help them to develop a USP linked to their green credentials and develop a holistic and sustainable management model for business and industrial parks in this cross border area. The application for INTERREG funding was approved in June 2012 and Aurora was appointed to research and write the initial mapping study and to support the development of the project’s dissemination outputs. This included documenting all cross border meetings, producing video interviews and factsheets on good practices and ultimately producing a good practice guide and toolkit, in English and French.
“Aurora supported us with the development of an application for funding to the INTERREG IVA Channel programme. Alison’s and Alex’s in depth knowledge and understanding of European funding has made the whole process so much easier. Their attention to detail and their ability to write in a concise and clear manner have proved an invaluable asset to the project development”.
